GOAL: Grow and Expand the Farmer Relief Fund
Since its launch in 2023, the Farmer Relief Fund has:
Distributed over $19,550 to 24 farmers impacted by natural disasters.
Provided crucial support to small to mid-sized, beginning, specialty crop, and organic growers who often lack access to federal crop insurance programs.
In 2024, we strengthened and sustained the fund by:
Establishing a subcommittee with statewide and farmer representation.
Updating the application, review, and award processes.
Expanding eligibility to farmers across the state.
Standardizing award amounts to $500 to ensure long-term sustainability.
In 2024, we awarded $2,250 to four farmers, continuing our commitment to supporting those most in need.
